When the two elements are synthesized into a polymer and irradiated with ultraviolet rays, green light is emitted at a low temperature, but as the temperature rises, yellow light and orange light are emitted, and when the temperature is above 100 degrees Celsius, red light is emitted. .
According to reports, this "chameleon light" color in the range of -100 degrees Celsius to 250 degrees Celsius, can change with temperature changes. The use of this luminophore to make coatings allows a clear view of the temperature range.
The researchers said that although the "Chameleon Luminescent Body" can accurately measure the temperature and does not decompose at a high temperature of 300 degrees Celsius, its detailed mechanism of discoloration with temperature has not yet been clarified, and the research team will prepare to study its molecular structure in the future.
