In 2006, in the 450,000 tonne/year PTA expansion project of Yangzi Petrochemical, the distance from the PTA plant to the new packaging plant was 1,100 meters. In order to solve the problem of long-distance airflow PTA transmission, all parties involved in this technology research and development worked together to demonstrate and improve the entire PTA long-distance transmission program. After eight months of unremitting efforts, the project was completed in November 2006. Put into operation, so far production is stable.
