According to Quan Peifeng, deputy director of the mobile equipment office of the natural gas purification plant, due to the high pressure of the natural gas purification plant and the large amount of acid gas treatment, the requirements for the purification process equipment are extremely strict. At the beginning of the construction of the natural gas purification plant of Puguang Subsidiary, many key equipments can only be imported from abroad. The intermediate amine liquid cooler is one of them.
In September 2010, when everyone was still immersed in the joy of a successful joint operation, a series of intermediate amine coolers in the second unit of a natural gas purification plant that had just been put into operation had leaked, resulting in the shutdown of the plant. The more serious problem is still behind. There are a total of 12 intermediate amine liquid coolers in 12 series of natural gas purification plants. With the operation of the purification plant, several coolers have had the same problem.
Since then, in less than two years, a total of 20 intermediate amine liquid cooler leaks occurred in natural gas purification plants. In order to solve this problem, Puguang Branch adopted various measures for maintenance, but the palliative solution did not solve the fundamental problem of the leakage of the intermediate amine liquid cooler.
Lan Lanqin believes that if you continue to use imported intermediate amine liquid coolers, not only are they expensive, they have long lead times, they are not in line with the actual production and operation of Puguang Gas Field, and they boldly transform foreign equipment to make them tamed and adapt to production. The road is imperative.
However, things are easier said than done. Puguang Natural Gas Purification Plant has high process medium pressure, high sulfur content, and a rainy and humid production environment. In addition, it has no mature experience in the research and development of large-scale high-sulphur purification treatment devices. It has independently developed intermediate amine liquid coolers and technicians in Puguang Gas Field. There is no end in my heart.
After analyzing the corrosion of the intermediate amine liquid cooler, scientists and technicians believe that according to the original design, the circulating cooling water in the intermediate amine liquid cooler walks the shell, the amine liquid runs the tube, and the heat exchange tube adopts a twisted tube, although it increases. The heat transfer area, but it provides a place for deposition of materials such as scale. It is these impurities that deposit to form sub-scale corrosion, resulting in leakage of the intermediate amine liquid cooler.
The reason for finding the problem is half the battle. In the next year, scientists and technicians revised the design plan and finally succeeded in realizing the localization of the intermediate amine liquid cooler and fundamentally solved the defects of the foreign equipment. At present, 12 newly-developed intermediate amine liquid coolers have all arrived at the purification plant and are put into use in the plant's 8 series of purification devices.
“After the newly developed intermediate amine liquid cooler was put into use, no abnormal conditions such as corrosion leakage have occurred so far,†said Quan Peifeng. The benefits brought by the localization of intermediate amine liquid coolers are far more than these. Prior to importing an intermediate amine cooler from abroad, the lead time was one year, and now it only takes six months. In addition, the realization of the localization of the intermediate amine liquid cooler also greatly reduces the production cost. It takes 9.36 million yuan to import an intermediate amine liquid cooler from abroad, and now the price of a domestically produced intermediate amine liquid cooler is only 2.25 million. yuan.
