The successful acceptance of the ballastless track slab test section provided valuable experience for the large-area construction of the track slab, and also created the conditions for full-speed advancement of the entire ballastless track construction.
The Datong-Xi'an passenger-dedicated line runs north from Shanxi Datong, passes through nine cities in two provinces, and reaches Xi’an in Shaanxi, with a total length of 859 kilometers. The designed speed is 250 kilometers per hour, and the estimated total project investment is 96.33 billion yuan. The 15th Bureau of the China Railways Daxi International Passenger Co., Ltd. constructed the pre-war construction section 5, and the line traverses the 3 counties (cities) of Pingyao, Jiexiu and Lingshi in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, 9 townships, 36 natural villages, and the total length of the line is 49.582 kilometers. The ballastless track was constructed by the Daxi Project Department of the 15th Bureau of the China Railway 15th Bureau and the Daxi Project Department of the 6th Company of the 15th Bureau of China Railways.
