The US Department of Homeland Security Minister Jeh Johnson confirmed that since the beginning of this week, the U.S. airport has stepped up security inspections and raised security warnings to counter terrorist attacks.
U.S. airports will step up spot checks and check baggage. They may be subject to pats and swabbing tests on explosives left on their hands. It is reported that the Department of Homeland Security has started operations a week ago. After passing through the airport's regular security check , security personnel will randomly check passengers and baggage at the gate. Johnson said that strengthening security is a preventive measure and the United States has not received any threats.
