This is the result of the provincial key research project “Digital Manufacturing of Knitted Garment Computer Jacquard Big Circular Machine” undertaken by Wuhan Institute of Science and Technology. The appraisal committee believes that the technological achievements have reached the international advanced level.

The emergence of this achievement means that Hubei, as a major textile province, will use the high-end computer jacquard large circular machine independently researched and developed to further adapt to the market needs of “multi-variety, small batch, fast-paced”.

Traditional mechanical jacquard machines are more limited in pattern weaving, and it takes several days to replace the pattern to modify the relevant parameters. The use of computer jacquard machines often depends on imports in part or in whole, and the price remains high. Wuhan Institute of Science and Technology has carried out scientific and technological research from two major parts of software pattern design system and hardware control system, and finally mastered the core technology of computer jacquard control system, which reduced manufacturing cost by half.

The project also developed the weft knitting CAD system software for knitwear. Through digital cameras such as cameras, scanners, digital cameras or video cameras, and image discs, it is possible to achieve fast input of flower patterns, multi-color matching, pattern simulation, etc. The pattern design is fast and simple, and can meet individual needs. After the application test, Wuhan Aidi Company believes that the product quality is reliable and the annual economic benefit is 1.68 million yuan.
