By making a hydropower decomposition device, high-quality hydrogen is produced in a small amount of precious metals (0.4 mg/cm2). It was also confirmed that the cerium oxide layer can be used as a protective film for a porous metal support under hydrolytic decomposition conditions.
The research group stated that the electrolyte and antimony oxide catalyst and protective film technology developed this time have the dual role of anti-corrosion and improving the reaction efficiency, and provided assistance for the research and development of hydrogen fuel and renewable energy technologies.
