Toyota will standardize half of its component designs

At noon on March 2nd, Beijing time, an executive of Toyota Motor Corporation said on Friday that Toyota will standardize half of its parts and components design as a way to absorb risk management costs in the next four years.

Shinichi Sasaki, vice president of product quality at Toyota Motor Corp., said: "Risk management should not lead to increased costs."
