Since Europe will implement Euro VI emission standards in 2014, Foton Motor will start its engine upgrade four years in advance and intends to expand its global commercial vehicle business. According to the agreement of both parties, Foton Motors will launch a global alliance with Cummins to develop globally marketable Omar and Shinsega PMP-VI products, as well as commercial vehicles from Toyota and General Motors as its main competitors. .

The main products are Cummins ISF2.8 and ISF3.8 diesel engines developed exclusively for the Chinese market. The Foton Cummins ISF series diesel engine Euro III, Euro IV, Euro V and EEV share the same platform development. The European V/EEV standard can be achieved only by adjusting the fuel injection pressure of the Euro IV stage and upgrading the key components of the electronic control system.
