On December 23, 2011, the first domestic 2.6-million-ton/year diesel liquid-phase circulating hydrogenation industrial unit independently constructed by Sinopec opened the entire process at Sinopec Shijiazhuang Refinery and Chemicals Branch, successfully driving and producing qualified products.
According to reports, the upstream diesel liquid phase cycle hydrogenation technology used in this device was jointly developed by the Sinopec Engineering Construction Corporation, the Petrochemical Research Institute and Shijiazhuang Refinery and Chemicals, and it is a Sino-Petro's “Ten Long†research project. It is understood that this new technology will reduce the sulphur content of diesel products by 80% compared to the standard sulphur content of the National III vehicle diesel, which can effectively reduce atmospheric pollution. Compared with traditional trickle bed hydrogenation technology, this technology can reduce the energy consumption of the device by 40%, and has significant economic and social benefits.
In order to ensure the success of the start-up, Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. has set up a special leading group for commissioning, with a command post and 10 professional groups. All parties involved trained in advance and sent employees to the Changling Branch Company and Qilu Petrochemical Group in batches to fully prepare for the drive.
On December 20 last year, at the installation site, the core equipment of the liquid-phase circulating diesel hydrogenation process, the reaction product circulating oil pump, was successfully tested and successfully passed into the key stage of catalyst vulcanization. At 24:00 on December 23, after analysis and analysis, the key indicators such as total sulfur content of diesel oil, diesel flash point, corrosion, and trace amounts of water all met the design requirements and the products passed the test.
