VULKARDAN launches F coupling

At the recent Hamburg International Maritime Exhibition, VULKARDAN introduced its VULKARDAN F coupling, a coupling that was further developed on the basis of the VULKARDAN E coupling that has been introduced for many years. The new wide coupling can be used for main drive, auxiliary drive and free-standing high-speed machine power generation with a particularly flexible positioning device.

Thanks to the compact design of the VULKARDAN F coupling, the coupling length can be shortened and the weight can be reduced by more than 40%.

According to VULKARDAN's product manager, “Because it is a more compact transmission, for our users, this means not only better and more simplified onboard installation, but also more space for the vessel.”
